Eating Disorders
As many as 11 million people (most of them women) in the U.S. live with eating disorders, according to the National Eating Disorders Association. We've collected some resources on various conditions and more.

National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders
ANAD provides care and support to those struggling with eating disorders.
With a host of free services for folks looking for eating disorder information and support, ANAD (located right in Editrix Jenni's Chicago backyard) offers "support groups, referrals to health care professionals, and education and prevention programs to promote self-acceptance and healthy lifestyles."
National Eating Disorders Association
The NEDA "is the largest not-for-profit organization in the United States working to prevent eating disorders and provide treatment referrals to those suffering from anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating disorder and those concerned with body image and weight issues."
With the goal of eliminating eating disorders, NEDA provides care and support to babes living with disordered eating and their loved ones. Through its National Eating Disorders Awareness Week and Media Watchdog Program, NEDA also aims to educate the general public. Features include Voices of Hope—inspiring stories of people confronting their own eating disorders—and a treatment referrals service (covering the US, US territories and Canada).
