ChronicBabe Blog Carnival #8: Who's on your team?

There's no way to get through all this without an awesome support team. That's why this issue, we've gathered a bunch of ChronicBabes to share their thoughts on folks who we love and love us back. We let you in on our medical teams and talk about the people who come together and touch our lives.

And the awards go to:

Jenni Prokopy, our one-and-only Editrix at ChronicBabe, knows that things just go smoother when you have a good support crew on your side. She gives big props and answers the question, "Who's on your team? Meet Team Jenni!"

KD at Making Noises sends a special shout-out to some of the members of her team. "It Takes a Village: A Love Story" illustrates how ChronicBabes can benefit from a village of care.

A small group and a country hideaway creates support and happiness for Annie Martin at It's Time To Get Over How Fragile You Are. She describes her "Personal Support Team" in words and pictures.

Hey, mom? Thanks!

Elfenkate at Into A Barrel And Over My Life says
"No Man Is an Island." She shares just a bit about those, including her mom, who help keep her safe and sane.

Gerri Curless at 50 is the new 40 asks, "Hey can you be on my team?" It sure helps to have people that understand about you and your chronic illness.

Thanks to my medical team...

"Who's on my team?" Rachel at Tales of my Thirties talks about her medical team and her personal team helping her through both chronic conditions and acute illness.

Meet "Team Rachael!" Rachael at Glass of Win presents a tribute to TEAM RACHAEL!,The All-Star medical team that supports her and keeps her alive.

Support can come from the most amazing places

Wendy at Your Chronic Life talks about "My Support Team: They weren't Easy to Find, But They were Worth the Wait." For those who are still searching for support, be patient and reach out. There are gems out there, but you've got to dig through a lot of useless rock to find them.

Kathy at The Fibrochondriac says "Every Relationship Has A Purpose." To call each of these relationships a "team" is a stretch, but they have helped her come to terms with chronic illness.

Teams make wonderful things happen!

Blogger Mama at Sjoggie StAHmer says she is "Blessed."
This blog is about the people who surround her, who have made her feel so blessed as she raises a daugher with Sjogren's Syndrome.

Migrainista talks about how "Team Migrainista" is about to grow with a first appointment at the Mayo Clinic. Way to go, Babe!!

Like what you see here? Why not enter the next ChronicBabe Blog Carnival?!

We're having so much fun running a blog carnival! But maybe there's room for improvement; we want to hear your suggestions. Let us know what you think in the discussion over at the Forum.

Want to participate in the next carnival? It's two weeks from today (publish date: July 27, 2010), and the theme is: The Big Breakdown: When Everything Goes to Hell, What Do We Do? Lately here at ChronicBabe HQ, we've had some things go haywire, and there are moments Editrix Jenni just loses it. How do you handle yourself when everything feels like a disaster? How do you get though it and come out the other end a stronger woman? I know this topic isn't easy to approach but I would love to hear your stories.

If you want to participate, send us your name (as you would like it to appear), the name of your blog, the name of your post, and a 1-2 sentence description of the post. We'll let you know if you're accepted. Send all that to chronic babe @ gmail dot com. The deadline is Sunday, July 25, at 10pm CST.

P.S.: Why not spread the love and submit a post from your favorite ChronicBabe blogger? Tell us who you love to read and we'll include her, too!

And as always, we thank our pals at Fibrochondriac who helped make this carnival awesome!
