Tornado/Microburst rips roof off of Editrix Jenni's house
by Jenni Prokopy, the Editrix
Yes, you read that headline right. A tornado (or microburst, whatever) has swept through Chicago - specifically hitting the North Side, where I and my hubby Steve live. It ripped the roof right off our building and our condo is flooded. But I lived to tell the tale (thank you, bedroom closet) and Steve's OK too - and that's what's most important.
It's going to be a while before any updates happen at the site, as we have a lot of cleaning up and rebuilding to do. So I appreciate your patience during this extremely challenging time.
If you want to help, the best thing you can do right now is make a donation through our Paypal button in the upper right hand corner of every page. Not that I'm begging for money, but I won't turn it down, either. It will be a little while before I can work again and your donations will really help.
Thanks. Light a candle, say a prayer, whatever you want to do. Your positive energy mean the world to us.
