You can be the "The Face of Health"
Hi Babes,
Our new pal Susannah Felts, associate editor of Health magazine, is trying to get a project/story off the ground, and she'd love to have ChronicBabes be a part of it.
Here’s the scoop on "The Face of Health" from Susannah:
"We're soliciting self-portraits of women that show them feeling their best, their worst, and everything in between—with some creative flair, if possible.
"I've been inspired by some shots I found by searching for tags like "healthy" and "sick" on the 365 Days group on Flickr, a nifty photo-sharing site. Now, we probably all prefer to have our picture taken when we're in top form. It might sound kind of crazy to take a picture of a scar, or yourself when, for example, you're suffering a raging bout of cramps.
"But some women out there are snapping away under such circumstances. And my hunch is that there’s some therapeutic value in sharing these shots (and commiserating with the other shutterbugs who view them). At least that's the sense I get from reading some of the comments people post on each other’s photos on the 365 Days Flickr group.
"So I've set up a Flickr group for this project: The Face of Health. We're hoping lots of women will join it and post self-portraits, and some of them will be be print-worthy. Yes, we want some interesting "sick" shots, but of course we want those hot, best-you shots too: you after a big race, you in a perfect backbend, you with the amazingly nutritious gourmet meal you just prepared for your family.
". . Any image that tells a quick story about where you're at in the endless challenge to be happy, healthy, and at home in your body. Despite the name of the group, I don't suppose your face even has to be in the picture.
"I hope you'll help the project along by signing up for the group (it's easy, I promise!) and submitting some photos (and telling your friends and sisters and moms, etc., to do the same)."
So, Babes. Who wants to be The Face of Health?
Editrix Jenni does! She's already signed up and posted a few pics. Join her and lots of other Babes and show the world what a real ChronicBabe looks like!
