Katrina is a bitch! A personal plea from the Editrix

In the coming weeks, residents of the Gulf Coast area will need all of our help. Here at ChronicBabe we're asking all of our readers to consider make a donation to the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 Relief fund to assist in rebuilding our neighbors to the south.
This is an issue of particular personal importance to me. My sister Meredith and her husband, Mike are New Orleans residents. While they were safely evacuated to Mike's parents' place in Texas before the storm hit, they will be returning -- who knows when -- to utter devastation. And they won't be alone. Millions of people are without electricity, water, and other basic necessities, and tens of thousands of people (possibly more) are homeless.
We at ChronicBabe don't often ask readers to take specific action -- we prefer to present options to help you make your best decisions -- but in this case, we ask you to join in supporting the American Red Cross in its efforts to provide disaster relief.
