Reprints rule! Here are some reprint rules
We've had a lot of interest lately in reprints of ChronicBabe articles, and we're thrilled that folks want to spread the message. But we've also seen a bunch of our stuff reprinted without permission all over the web, which is a big no-no. So here are some rules to remember when reprinting anything from ChronicBabe:
1. You must email us EACH and EVERY time you want to get permission to reprint an article from ChronicBabe.com. Just because we let you do it once, doesn't mean you can reprint anything you want from the site whenever you feel like it.
2. Wait and see if we give you permission before you reprint an article. Asking for it is not enough - we must approve all reprints.
3. If you reference one of our articles (especially in an eNewsletter), please include a live html link to the article on our web site, instead of simply cutting and pasting our entire article and republishing it on your site. This is definitely the biggest no-no of them all. We know you probably don't mean to, but you make us very unhappy when you do this. (We make occasional exceptions, but if your organization wants to reprint whole articles regularly, hmmm....nope. Not unless we can trade content in-kind! And we have to discuss it first.)
4. All content on ChronicBabe.com is copyright ChronicBabe.com. If we give you permission to reprint an article, use this exact credit line along with the piece: Article reprinted with permission from ChronicBabe.com. Copyright 2006 ChronicBabe.com. (Notice the live link in the credit line!)
Again, we love that people enjoy our content, and we're all for spreading the word. But ChronicBabe is a creation of Editrix Jenni Prokopy, who, as a professional writer, owns all copyrights and guards each and every article like it's gold. Cuz it is. Reprinting articles without our permission is like stealing, and that's not only uncool - it's illegal. So when in doubt, contact us before you reprint. Thanks!
