Tip from a fellow Babe: Loving jeans again
by Pam Negri Lenzen
(Editrix's note: Hooray for our first reader tip!)
Pam says hell yea to her "newly rounded rump" and learns to love Old Navy jeans...
Don't have Raynauds but a whole slew of other things (IBS, endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, cervical spondylosis, fibromyalgia, blah blah blah...) that make tight clothes a big problem for me! Combined with the extra cushioning I've acquired since my activity level decreased drastically, fashionable clothes have become a bit of a problem for me...actually more like a huge damn ordeal!!!
Anyway, with the denim craze in full swing it is so hard to find jeans that fit well, look decent, and have enough give not to induce the unpleasant effects associated with tight things around my waist -- UGH! Old Navy has really saved me. They have some great options and they seem to be the only one with a truly stretchy waist (not elasticized - yuck)...I like the "Boot Cut At Waist", they come in short, regular, and tall & have a little flare at the bottom which is slimming for my newly stubby little legs!
Beware, they don't last long and have a tendency to shrink a lot if you put them in the dryer...but my husband has no problem with a few things hanging over the shower drying on laundry day if it means he can see a nice pair of jeans on my newly rounded rump -- HA!
From the Editrix: Thanks Pam! We love tips from fellow Chronic Babes - keep them coming!
